First off…let me answer some questions…
Cori (our dear friend from college) asked (in jest, I’m sure), when we plan on having some babies. Well, actually…I am pregnant.
JUST KIDDING! No babies for awhile. Maybe in a year or two? Right now I’m enjoying being an aunt to my awesome nieces and nephew and a mama to my fur babies. Besides, I still have some goals I need to complete first, such as finishing grad school and moving someplace new. Speaking of moving, Anita (mother of the handsome Pug and the beautiful Maize), asked if we would ever consider moving to Chicago. We love Chicago – delicious food, endless entertainment opportunities, and Sociabull dogs. What we don’t love so much? Freezing cold winters and blustery winds (we get enough of that in Kansas City)! As of right now, my sights are on a certain northwestern city where we vacationed for our third anniversary, but anything is possible, and I’m always open to suggestions. Now, on to the giveaway…
You all remember that little sweater shop my mom started just a few months ago, right? Since October my mom has made almost 40 sweaters, and she’s not stopping anytime soon! Her sweaters are keeping pups warm all over the U.S. – in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Minnesota, Illinois (you Chicagoans are our largest percentage of customers), and many more! Here is a sampling of her work…you may recognize some famous faces in the group…
In addition to keeping your pups warm, 50% of the proceeds from the sweaters go to animal rescue (including helping a certain foster dog from this blog)! Can’t get much better than that! So, today’s giveaway, if you haven’t already guessed is… one custom Tiennot Knits sweater for your pooch! Here are the details on how to enter:
- PRIZE: See above
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “WARM ME UP” and tell me, what is your favorite way to get warm when the weather is frightful? For a bonus entry, like us on Facebook and comment on our wall. If you already “liked” our page, just leave a comment on our wall for your bonus entry.

Warm Me Up! Love Chick in his sweater. Handsome Dan needs one! And, of course, the best way to stay warm is to snuggle your pitties. When it’s cold outside and the bed is not as toasty as we would like, either Mark or me will say, “Throw another pittie in the bed” (think: throw another log on the fire).
Great contest, and fun way to keep blog readers engaged!!

Warm Me Up! Our Buddie is almost 9, a Chow/Coonhound mix! Mainly Coonhound looking, very short fur. Even though we are in Florida, we have a few cold days. Love the homemade sweaters! My husband and I share our bed with our Buddie! We have two other rescues. A Norwegian Elkhound and a little mix breed. Not sure exactly what, though.

Warm me Up! My rescue pit bull Delilah Jane is always cold. When she goes outside she hurries so she can run back inside to lay in front of the furnance vent. She also loves to lay under the blankets on the bed. Recently, I bought her a sweater and she LOVES it! She gets so excited when I put it on her.

I live in Pittsburgh, PA and absolutely LOVE the snow and the cold weather…others here…don’t love it so much! I am part of a private pit bull rescue that does a lot of rescues from down south (usually dog fighting cases) who would love a warm sweater to snuggle up in while lounging on the couch in cozy blanket! =)

Warm me up!! I love to snuggle with my kitty on my lap and sitting by a fire. I would love one of your sweaters. My pup has been shivering lately when we go outside. Our New England weathers suck. She’s 1 so she’ll find out soon!

WARM ME UP! When it’s chilly, I layer my clothes — I have recently become quite obsessed with the Cuddl Duds, super thin, super soft and super sexy thermals. Of course, I also cuddle up with some dogs. 🙂

WARM ME UP! I love staying warm in the cold weather by stealing the couch and the blankets. I will burying myself deep inside the bankies and poke my face out, just to make sure everything is okay.

Warm me up! When it’s chilly, the best way to stay warm here in Indiana is a roaring fire, the dogs snuggled close and an IU basketball game on the TV!

WARM ME UP! Ohhh..that sounds nasty, doesn’t it? Our favorite way to stay warm here in So Cal (contrary to popular belief, it DOES get cold here, right now it’s 40 degrees!), is to wrap up like burritos in blankets on the sofa and watch TV together! Two of our three rescues are short hair and get really cold…

Warm me up! My name is Sigmund, yes that one my mommy is a therapist and thought it was appropriate since I don’t like to be away from her for any period of time… They keep saying something about separation and anxiety. All’s I know is that I’ve decided to keep her and want to be close to see what surprises she has. But Sigie for short, that what my trainer and the cool kids with tails call me. Here in OKC it gets very cold and when I go out there is always this wet hard stuff underneath. I can’t eat it like the stuff my gets out if the fridge and puts in my bowl. This stuff is everywhere and I can’t even eat it! Imagine putting your bottom on it! So how do I stay warm? That’s easy…. Mom has something called a king and since I’m a prince-in-training its appropriate. My picks me up, I’ve trained her well and puts me on the king and I use my face as a snow shovel and wedge my face under the pillows, just my face. It’s great next to my mommy in the king. I don’t have to use covers because she usually puts her ARM around me. Just think about it… I have an instant eye mask for my best sleeping and my momma giving me a massage and lovins all in one. Separation anxiety pooey, I know what I like!

Warm me up! My pup and I have been keeping warm at night with a heated mattress pad. And if I forget to turn his side on, he scoots over to mine and I get an extra blanket in the shape of a pittie 🙂

Bahahaha. I almost died when I saw the beginning of this post and for a split second was mad that you’d announce something like that on your blog before telling me! But alas, I know it’s not true and there’s so much more to do before the babies come…
Has your mom ever attempted a cat sweater??

Warm us up! We were thinking of getting a sweater for our Big Bessie. We do have some hats for the pooches, but they would be oh so styling with a sweater!

Warm Me Up! When the central Illinois nights get cold, I like to take a hot bubble bath, put on warm flannel jammies and fuzzy socks, then cuddle on the couch with our coonhounds, a couple of cats, a cup of tea and a good book!

Warm Me Up! I’m Bella, an emaciated young dog. My new family is trying to fatten me up and make me secure. I shake so hard when I go outside, partly because I’m so cold here in Chicago, and partly because I’m scared. Good thing I have patient, loving people taking care of me now!

Warm me up! (LOVE the sweaters!! “Finally a respectable cover up!” says my dog, Bolt 🙂 Our favorite way to warm up is to take a long, brisk walk outside, then come in, sit by our faux fireplace (space heater) and drink tea/enjoy a juicy bone on the couch. Never gets old 🙂 And of course we cuddle together with our foster(s) at the time. (I liked you on FB and posted a photo of Bolt, all snuggled up)

WARM ME UP! Ohio’s cold!
Our favorite (I say ‘our’ because I have a 85lb furry ‘shadow’) favorite way to keep warm during the winter is blankets, fireplaces and hot chocolate/coffee.
Infact, we love keeping warm and fireplaces so much; we got a big ol’ fake fireplace mantel in the bedroom!

Warm me up! I wish we had a fireplace to snuggle in front of but since we don’t we all pile in the bed and snuggle, all three dogs and all three cats…good thing we have a king sized bed.

WARM ME UP!
The best way to warm up in my house (an old Chicago apartment with very little insulation) is to turn on the ‘lectric blanket and snuggle with with all four animals (a pitties, a border collie, and two kitties.) Some hot cocoa or popcorn and a movie don’t hurt either. The Pittie really needs a sweater for the upcoming winter months though.

Warm me up! Just like all the other
Pittie owners, with my dogs! We all sport our sweatshirts and climb on the couch under a nice warm blanket with a mountain of pillows around us! My pittie likes to lounge facing me with her legs sprawled across me and her head on the same pillow. Her chihuahua sister enjoys curling up somewhere in a nook between us!

WARM ME UP buttercup! I’ve been asking mom for one of these for like… EVER! I shimmy and shiver outside in these beyond freezing upstate NY winters! I usually plow mom over trying to get back inside and snuggle up in my blanket on the couch. She laughs. Wouldn’t be a laughing matter if she had to potty outside in those temps!

Warm Me Up! I was hoping you would do a sweater giveaway! Molly already has a pretty decent wardrobe but poor Brodie/other fosters are without any cozy sweaters! My favorite way to warm up is with a hot cup of coffee on the couch under a pile of blankets!

The best way to WARM ME UP is a cuddle sesh with the dogs! Nothing can replace the warmth that comes from settling in with a blanket and two dogs. Throw in a good movie and we’re done for the night!
The dogs stay warm with jackets and sweaters, but we still haven’t found one with a good fit for our broad-chested pittie lady. I want to make one for her, but am still working on the knitting to-do list from Christmas, oops!

Warm me up! Also, I absolutely LIVE off of hot beverages when it starts to get cold – peppermint mochas, hot chocolate, coffee sprinkled with cinnamon, etc. There’s just something so comforting about holding a hot mug in your hands, while on a long walk or inside in front of a good movie.

“Warm me Up”
My favorite way to warm up when the weather is frightful would have to be: Letting my Rescued staffy crawl up under my Ravens Snuggy with me and breathing on my toes! It seems to do the trick every time, and he sure seems to not mind helping his mommy out! He sure Loves his Mommy!
