Mastering the Kong.

Those of you who follow us on Facebook know about how Ginger was distracting me with her crazy Kong antics on Thursday.

I think Twenty-Six to Life and Two Pitties in the City were right that Ginger was training me…or at least manipulating me to pay attention to her! Whatever she was doing, she definitely kept me entertained!

After several times of batting the Kong around, watching it roll under the couch and then flopping on top of it once I fished it out, Ginger finally figured out how to master the Kong…

She realized that if she pushed the Kong up on the edge of the ottoman, it wouldn’t roll away. Even though I wasn’t thrilled with the slobbery, furry, messy Kong on the ottoman, I just couldn’t say “no” to those eyes! She’s such a doll.

We’re meeting with a potential adopter for Ginger on Wednesday so I’m trying to soak up as much time with her as possible before then…lots of snuggling is going on at Casa Hawkins…
