Lucy Lou’s Practice St. Patty’s Day was so busy, we had to break it into TWO parts! We spent the morning cheering on my bestie Joanna at the Westport St. Patty’s Run and then headed over to Brookside in the afternoon for the Brookside Barkery St. Patrick’s Day Warm Up “Paw-rade.” The “paw-rade” features floats from area schools and businesses, and most importantly, lots and lots of dogs marching in the paw-rade as well (get it? Paw-rade!). Since Waldo is so close to Brookside, I met up with fellow blogger and neighbor Crystal of Wayward Dogs, and her foster pooch Minnie, to walk down to the Paw-rade together.

As we approached Brookside, it was obvious that the neighborhood had gone to the dogs…

There were dogs EVERYWHERE! From Great Danes to baby bichons, people were out in force to show off their beloved dogs!

Both sides of the street were packed with people watching the parade, and Lucy Lou and Minnie soaked up the attention!

Lots of people were pointing at Lucy and taking photos of her – but she wasn’t fazed. When you look like her, you get used to the paparazzi constantly on your tail!

We were surprised and excited when a blog reader called out to Lucy Lou during the parade and cheered for her (thanks Jenny!).

Lucy Lou had a wonderful time with her pal Minnie (and I had a great time with my pal Crystal), and by the time we got home, we’d logged nearly 5 miles of walking! Needless to say, Lucy Lou and I were both out for the remainder of the day…
